This Privacy Notice explains how Nexil handles information when you use the app. Nexil is designed with a local-first approach, and most user data is stored on your device. We aim to minimize collection, protect your privacy, and give you control over your personal information.
By using Nexil, you understand that the app may store mood entries, mindful practice records, locally saved photos, preferences, and related history to provide core features such as journaling, statistics, reminders, and account-related functions.
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade user data. We do NOT share any user-uploaded or user-generated content with any third party. We do NOT use any third-party AI services to process user data. All AI processing is performed exclusively on our own internal servers.
Any third-party service we use is limited to infrastructure operations such as cloud hosting, storage, or delivery support. These providers act solely on our behalf and under our instructions, are bound by contractual obligations to protect data security, and are not permitted to use user data for any purpose beyond what we direct.
Third parties do NOT use data for advertising, user profiling, AI training, model optimization, their own purposes, redistribution, or independent access to user content.
You may access, review, correct, delete, or export your information where those features are available in the app. You may also withdraw optional consent-related choices, such as notification permissions, at any time through your device or app settings.
If you need help with a request involving your data, you may contact us at raserb082@icloud.com. We will respond in a reasonable time and may ask for additional information to verify your request.
Nexil is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we become aware that such information has been provided, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Nexil does not perform facial recognition, biometric identification, face template creation, or biometric analysis. If any image is temporarily processed for an app function, it is handled only for that immediate purpose and is deleted after processing unless you choose to keep it locally on your device.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures include local device storage by default, restricted access to sensitive systems, encryption or secure storage where appropriate, and limited retention of processing data.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to reduce risks through privacy-conscious design and minimal data collection.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When we make material changes, we will revise the date above and may provide additional notice in the app or through other appropriate channels.
Your continued use of Nexil after an update becomes effective means you accept the revised notice.
Depending on the infrastructure we use, certain information may be processed or stored in different regions. When this occurs, we take steps intended to ensure that such processing is limited to the purposes described in this notice and is subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
Information you provide: mood entries, mood levels, tags, trigger factors, journal text, mindful practice notes, locally saved photos, profile preferences, notification settings, and other content you choose to enter into the app.
Automatically collected information: basic app usage events needed to operate features, device and app metadata, local account state, crash diagnostics, and technical information necessary to maintain performance and reliability.
Cookies and similar technologies: Nexil is an iOS app and does not rely on browser cookies for normal app operation. If any web page or external service is opened through the app, that service may use its own cookies or similar tools according to its own policies.
We use information to provide and improve app features, save your records, generate local statistics, deliver reminders, manage coins and feature unlocks, support exports where available, and maintain app security and stability.
We do NOT use your information for AI training, advertisements, profiling, or selling. We do NOT use your personal content to build marketing audiences or to make independent advertising decisions about you.
All AI processing, if used at all, occurs only on our internal servers. We do NOT use third-party AI services to process user data. We do NOT use your content to train or improve external models, and we do NOT permit third parties to access your content for model training or optimization.
Any temporary data used for AI-related processing is deleted after processing is completed, unless a specific result is intentionally saved by you as part of the app experience.
We keep data only for as long as needed to provide the app and the related features you use. Uploaded content is deleted after processing when it is only needed temporarily for a function. Generated results may be stored in your history so you can review them, and you may delete them at any time where the app provides that option.
Crash logs are retained for up to 12 months. Support messages are retained for up to 6 months. Temporary processing data is deleted after completion of the relevant task. Locally stored user records remain on your device until you remove them or uninstall the app, unless the app provides a deletion function.
By installing, accessing, or using Nexil, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Notice and agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree with this notice, you should discontinue use of the app.
